Podiatric joint mobilisations / manipulations

The practice of a therapist moving  joints to alleviate pain has a long history going back to the time of Hippocrates (460- 380 BC) . Joints can become stiff or immobile due to injury or lack of use. Mobilisations can enable a joint to again achieve its usual range of movement.  They help to reduce inappropriate joint stiffness, in a gentle way that is under control of the patient.
